Blueberries

Nothing is better than fresh fruit...espesially when it is picked by little hands. One of my favorite, and now Sophie's favorite things to do here is go Blueberry picking. We went the other day with some friends and Sophie was a great picker! She literally cried when we had to leave. Now we just can't decide if we should put them on ice cream, make blueberry muffins or just eat them by the handful. We might be back next week picking more.

Baby Shower

My Sweet friends were so nice to give me a baby shower at my very favorite restaurant. My friend Liz, of course, out did herself and made it so cute. We had so much fun eating, talking and just hanging out. Thank you so much Liz and Sarah and for everyone who came. I loved every minute of it!

I'm so sad I didn't get a group pic. I am horrible about taking pics. Luckily my friend took all these...Trust me I wouldn't just have only taken pics of me...especially being the pregnant one.

Ben's Playground

Ben's cousin introduced him to a rope swing not too far from our house. Ben has been in complete heaven. We have already been a couple of times. Just watch.....

Independence Day

We had a great holiday! We went over to the Webber's for a bbq and swim party during the day with all of our favorite families, then we headed to the church to watch the fireworks. It was really odd beacause we got there and they were already going off and it was light outside. Well I guess we under a huge storm warning at about the time they were suppose to go off. So we watched them in the light (which was kind a little different) then as soon as they ended it just started pooring! So I guess it all worked out great. Sophie was more into the glow sticks than the fireworks this year, but at least she wsn't scared of them this year.

Our little Family Vaca

Ben had an entire week off at the end of June and so we decided to go to the Beach. In my opinion you must see the beach at least once a year to feel fully relaxed. So we headed to Hilton Head Island, SC. It was such a fun trip. Sophie was so excited about the Beach and everyday all she wanted to do was to dig a hole......we don't know where this came from but she was loving the fact that Ben would spend hours digging a real big hole for her. She was super scared of the Ocean and didn't like it when we got even near it. Hopefully that will change soon! We just relaxed and played in the sun. My kind of trip (especially being 34 weeks pregnant).

After South Carolina we headed to Savannah, GA. I loved this charming place but couldn't take the heat....it was so hot!! We walked around the city, learned about history of the town, ate lunch and tried to stay cool.
Ben ordered a typical southern meal.... Fried shrimp, sweet potatoe fries, potatoe salad, fried green tomatoes and something else deep fried came with it but we never figured out what it was. I ordered a turkey wrap and it even came out deep fried. I don't know how people eat like this. It was pretty funny!
This town was filled with rows of trees like this and park benchs everywhere. It was really charming.
Our last stop was in Chattanooga. Although it is only 2 hours away from Nashville we had never been. We loved this city. It was a total outdoors town with lots of fun things to do and it is BEAUTIFUL! We took Sophie to the aqurium (she was dying to see Nemo) but ended up like the snakes the best.

A little overwhelmed by all the jelly fish
All and all it was a really fun vacation and most of all it was so fun to finally be all together after 3 long months.

Congrats Corey!!

At the beginning of June my family went to Boston for my brother's graduation for his MBA at Harvard. It was such an awesome event. It was a fun day filled with a nice luncheon, graduation and a reception afterwards(all things I was happy not to have my darling 2 yr old daughter at)....Thanks again Brad and Ann for watching her. Anyways.. We are so proud of him and all the goals he has accomplished. CONGRATS COREY!!! Thanks for letting us share the day with you.

Alisa made Elsie her own little graduation cap and Corey held her as he walked across the stage and accepted his diploma. She looked so cute!

My grandpa Crowell was born and raised in Boston and so one day he took us around and showed us where he grew up and where my great grandparents were buried. It was fun to learn about our families history. We even got to meet up with some of our relatives. I am glad they could come on this trip with us.

I swear you can never run out of things to see in the New England area. We had fun in Salem seeing the Witch trials, loved the town of Plymouth and seeing the "rock", enjoyed the duck tour in boston (especially our tour guide), eating in the italian district (the best food ever!) and my favorite.. just walking around Boston and taking in all the sights and history.

Of course it wasn't the same without Ben. He was so sad he had to miss this.
Thank you Corey and Alisa for showing us such a good time..like always!

My favorite time of year.....

This year Nicole came out for the event. It was so much fun to have her here for it. She loves country and it was fun to have fellow pregnant women amongst the crowd. CMA fest is my favorite time of year here in Nashville. All of the country singers are around the entire weekend and perform at the titan's stadium each night, they each play about 6 songs and then the next one is up. It is a blast! Ben's uncle is always so nice to get us passes for the entire weekend. Thank you Dave!!

The first night started off a little crazy. The concert was going and then about an hour into it they had to stop it because of a tornado warning (welcome to TN). We all had to find shelter and wait until it passed. Well about 3 hours later it cleared and they continued the concert at midnight. It was actually pretty fun sitting around talking and watching all the crazy cowboys.

After the weekend I have a new love for Jake Owen & Lady Antebellum.

UT Summary

Well we had a blast being in UT for 11 weeks (minus the fact that we didn't get to have Ben with us the whole time). I swear no matter how long you go, it isn't just long enough. I still didn't get to see everyone I wanted to see, and eat at all restaurants on my list. However, we had such a good time spending time with family and friends. I already miss the Mountains and the yummy water. (yes UT's water is the best tasting). After being there so long Sophie got every attached to her grandparents. We have been here almost a month now and Sophie still asks daily if we can go to MiMi and PaPa's house. She misses them so much ( so do we)! Thank you for showing us such a good time...mom and dad, Ann and Brad. We love you!!

Oh yes, and thank you Nicole for taking Sophie down the slide many times. I don't think I could have done it as well as you (she's pregnant too, but much smaller than me.)
I love this pic...too funny!
