CMA Award Show

My sweet friend Meg stayed a little longer on the girls trip so we could go to the CMA Award Show. It was so fun! We got our nails and make-up done, dressed up and felt like celebrities for a night. We went early and hit the red carpet and got a peek on some celebrities. It was so fun! My very favorite performance was by Carrie Underwood. She brought some strong emotion to the show, Taylor Swift's performance was also awesome.. (currently my favorite song) and Keith, Kenny and Brad did good! Heck they all were amazing! Plus wasn't Reese just darlin'. Anyways it was such a fun night to see all my fav's. My passion for Country only grows stronger livin' here in Nashville!

some ALL girl FUN!

I was so lucky to have 5 of my dearest friends come visit me in Nashville. We had so much fun!! Ben was so sweet... we kicked him and Sophie out so we could have an all girl retreat at our place. I owe him! We did lots and lots of shopping, went to a concert at the Ryman (the old Opry).. featuring Josh Turner (one of my fav's,) Kevin Costner..did ya know he sang? He was super cute!... and Vince Gill, walked Broadway, drove around and saw the beautiful stars homes, went to the Bluebird Cafe and saw some upcoming stars, got pedi's, went on a beautiful run around Radnor Lake and spent a day at Opryland. The funnest thing to me was just being with them. We had so much fun staying up late, being kid free, reminiscing about High School and just laughing. I feel so overly blessed to have such darling friends. I love ALL of them dearly and they have always been great examples to me. Thanks girlies for comin' to NASHVILLE. It was a total Gucci trip! I can't wait until next year's trip!!

BOO!!!

We had such a great Halloween! We did the yummy chili and rolls with the Critchlow's and then headed out for some trick-or-treating. We brought the wagon along because we thought we would just take Sophie out every once and a while to some doors. She had a different plan. She loved it!!! She cried after we left the first house then I had to explain to her we were just starting and thier would be many more! She went for 2 hours and kept up with the Critchlow boys. It was such a great night, she was in pure heaven and the weather was perfect! Now the only scary thing left is her big pile of candy. I just hope I don't eat it!!

So... tired after a long night.

Welcome Sweet Baby!

My brother Corey and his wife Alisa welcomed their sweet baby into the world early this morning. Elsie Jayne Crowell weighed 5 pound 10 ounces and 17 1/2 inches. We are so excited to have her in the family. Sophie can't wait to hold her... I can't either!

our Fabulous Fairy

When we were trying to decide what Sophie should be for Halloween. We thought..well she is all girl so it has to be something girly. So we found this costume that had her name written all over it. After we brought it home she wanted to wear it immediately and has wanted to wear it daily since. So I think we picked out a winner. Who knew Halloween could be so fun for a 1 year old???

B O S T O N

Ben had some time off school so we decided to head up to Boston and visit my brother and sister-in-law. If you know Corey or Alisa you know they are the perfect tour guides and that they were. I can't believe how much we saw! They truly showed us such a good time. We mostly loved just being with them, Sophie loved seeing them and even started to call Alisa Mommy! We flew into New Hampshire so we could go to Sharon Vermont and see the birthplace of Joseph Smith. It was breath taking!! The leaves were so beautiful. We then went to Boston and visited Lexington and Concord saw all the history sites, walked the freedom trail, ate yummy pizza in the Italian district, had a picnic at Walden Pond, took Sophie to the Boston Children's Musem, had so much fun having dinner with our good friend's the Stucki's, went to a Red Sox play-off game, had Burdick's rich hot chocolate, picked apples and had donuts and cider at Honey-Pot Hill Orchard, walked around Harvard Campus (Ben even got to attend one of my brother's classes), ate a traditional Boston dinner (Lobstah), went to Newport, RI and visited the unbelievable mansion's up against the ocean and running along the Charles river with my brother in the morning (it was so pretty and so much fun to run with him in the city). All and all we had an amazing trip..thanks to Corey & Alisa. We love you guys so much and can't thank you enough!! We now love BOSTON!

The leaves were so pretty Soph liked eating them...Yum!

It was so cute to watch Sophie pick apples.. she loved it! She would giggle every time she got one.
